The Durun A2000 summer tire is designed for a wide range of modern passenger cars of the small class, which are mainly used in urban conditions. The size range, consisting of 16 types for wheels with a landing diameter from 13 to 16 inches, unequivocally hints at this.
Tread pattern
This tire is equipped with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which has a very original design. It consists of two clearly defined functional zones, each of which performs a strictly defined set of tasks. There are only two of them - the central part and the shoulder zones.
The central part of the Durun A2000 tread is occupied by three longitudinal ribs, the middle one of which has a double structure. This solution was dictated by the developers' desire to achieve good directional stability at any speed. The double construction of the central rib gave it high resistance to dynamic deformations, which allowed the tire to provide not only excellent directional stability but also fast and accurate reactions to steering wheel turns.
The other two ribs, also located in the central part of the tread, are divided by drainage grooves and lamellas into a multitude of massive blocks. This solution made it possible to saturate the contact patch to the limit with a multitude of traction edges that work effectively not only on wet roads.
The shoulder zones of the tread are distinguished by massive sizes and division into separate rectangular blocks. The open design of this tread part made it possible to ensure quick and efficient water removal from the contact patch. In addition, the surface of each of the blocks of the shoulder zones has straight lamellas, which perform two functions at once - directing water into the main drainage grooves and forming additional traction edges.
Main features of Durun A2000
- the original symmetrical non-directional tread pattern provides the possibility of operation even in the autumn-spring period of the year, allowing safe movement on any type of road surface;
- the double longitudinal rib in the center of the tread has excellent resistance to dynamic deformation, which provides excellent directional stability and fast and accurate reactions to steering wheel movements;
- a multitude of traction edges in the central part of the tread provide excellent traction on various road surfaces;
- the reinforced structure of the shoulder zones of the tread allows for more confident performance of sharp maneuvers.
