The winter studded tire Dunlop SP Winter Ice 02 is one of the novelties of the popular British brand in our country. Like all other models released today under this brand, its development was handled by Goodyear specialists, using the most modern technologies and materials.
Increased resistance to slushplaning
The entire tread of this tire is literally pockmarked with numerous drainage grooves. A significant part of them is located at a sharp angle and against the direction of movement. In combination with the curved shape and large width, this feature significantly improves the tire's traction characteristics in adverse road conditions, providing increased resistance to slushplaning.
A row of rigid blocks in the center of the tread
The central part of the tread pattern has a longitudinal rib, the composite structure of which contains many massive triangular blocks. This design provides the tire with several important operational properties - from directional stability to longitudinal traction characteristics on snow.
Cross-bridges between blocks in the shoulder zones
The blocks located in the shoulder zones of the tread are connected in pairs by special transverse bridges. These not too noticeable elements improve resistance to skidding when performing maneuvers, providing reliable and predictable handling.

Hello. Re-tired a bit early - in early October, our frosts started and my wife asked me to take her tires for balancing as she is a novice driver and fears ice. On her car, there are Gislaved Nord Frost 100, which came with the car from me, and I did not balancer them, so I didn't (the tire for 4 seasons has passed about 35000 km, and for this season it's enough). I'd like to leave a review on this tire. I've been using it for three years now, and in that time, I've only lost one stud from the wheel. The tire is just the right hardness, plus it has a great side wall that holds its shape when cornering, and it's easy to handle when accelerating and cornering. Rarely can a tire hold its line and snow so well, and you can drive through it without straining your hands, just as in the

They've been fitted to a new car. On both wet and dry tarmac they're driven without any issues, and the tyre gives no feedback of the road camber at all. The tyre's behaviour on asphalt is no different to a good summer tyre, except they're a bit noisy. The studs are quite pronounced. Three points need to be made: the stud's rigidity, the noise and the grip on ice. The studs do tend to drop out, so you need to drive carefully
