Released globally by the world-renowned British manufacturer, the summer passenger tire Dunlop SP Sport LM702 was created with the help of modern computer modeling tools, which provided it with excellent operational characteristics. This model is produced in more than nine dozen different sizes, ranging from 155/60R13 to 285/30ZR20, which implies the applicability of this tire to the absolute majority of modern passenger cars. At the same time, the tire is designed for high-speed driving up to 270 km/h.
The symmetric non-directional tread pattern, developed with the help of computer modeling tools, features a rather aggressive design. As is typical for a high-speed tire with a sporty handling character, a wide longitudinal rib is located in the center of the tread, which is characterized by high structural rigidity. As a result of this solution, the Dunlop SP Sport LM702 tire has excellent directional stability at any speed. In addition, the high rigidity of this tread element provides instant response to steering wheel movement, making the tire's handling more sporty.
Also, in the central part of the tread, there are two more longitudinal ribs, the distinctive feature of which is the arrow-shaped blocks. Thanks to this shape of the blocks, the tire demonstrates excellent traction and coupling characteristics in any conditions, as well as high resistance to lateral skidding.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the well-designed water drainage system, which consists of four very wide longitudinal grooves and numerous transverse channels. To a large extent, the high efficiency of the drainage system was achieved thanks to the elliptical shape of the transverse channels, through which water is directed into the longitudinal grooves and shoulder areas, which are also equipped with water drainage channels. At the same time, the shape of the transverse channels contributes to an increase in water circulation in the contact patch.
Key features of the Dunlop SP Sport LM702
- excellent coupling characteristics in any road conditions, ensured by the optimized design of the symmetric non-directional tread pattern, developed with the help of computer modeling tools;
- rigid shoulder areas, which provide a sporty handling character.
