The summer passenger tire Dunlop SP Sport 270 is one of the high-tech products of the English tire giant with a 120-year history. The tire is designed for powerful passenger cars with increased passability and has a great set of operational and consumer qualities. This tire is used for equipping by many well-known car manufacturers.
The tire's tread is built according to the modern five-rib design and consists of five main functional elements - three longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread and two shoulder zones.
The central rib, due to its solid and rigid construction, is designed to provide the Dunlop Sp Sport 270 tire with excellent directional stability and behavior stability when moving at high speed, combined with a low response time to steering wheel rotation.
The two longitudinal ribs, also located in the central part of the tread, have an original design consisting of separate triangular blocks. This solution provided these tread elements with the necessary stiffness for a high-speed tire, combined with excellent traction and low rolling resistance.
The shoulder zones of the tread have also been strengthened with regard to high-speed movement on roads with a solid surface. In particular, to ensure stability and reliability of behavior when passing turns, as well as to combat uneven wear, the shoulder zones of the tread have a rounded profile.
