Description Dunlop SP Sport 2000
The Dunlop SP Sport 2000 summer tire, manufactured by one of the largest English automobile tire manufacturers, is designed for use on powerful and high-speed passenger cars. This is evident from the highest speed indices assigned to this tire.
The design of the symmetrical tread pattern unequivocally states its belonging to tires with a sporty character. The longitudinal rib, located in the very center of the tread, has a solid structure. Due to this, the Dunlop SP Sport 2000 tire was able to demonstrate excellent directional stability while reducing rolling resistance. Additionally, the uninterrupted central rib along the entire length of the tread has significantly provided the tire with excellent handling.
Each of the other two ribs, also located in the central part of the tread, consists of two rows of separate blocks with a quadrangular shape. Due to this solution, it was possible to achieve an uneven step of block placement in each row, which significantly reduced the noise level. Moreover, thanks to the special shape of the blocks, the tire has a large contact area, which ensured excellent traction and handling characteristics.
All five ribs of the tread pattern, including the shoulder areas, are separated from each other by four longitudinal grooves, through which effective water drainage from the tire's contact patch is carried out, thereby preventing the occurrence of the aquaplaning effect, which brought reliability and safety to the movement even on a very wet road.
The main features of the Dunlop SP Sport 2000 tire

- The original structure of the two central ribs, each consisting of two rows of blocks, provided the tire with a large contact area and a low noise level;
- Excellent balance of characteristics due to the original design of the tread pattern.
