Dunlop SP LT 800

Like other Dunlop tires with the LT abbreviation in the name, the SP LT 800 model is designed for light commercial vehicles. First and foremost, these are light trucks that operate on poor-quality roads. Given that this model can be used throughout the year, i.e. even in winter, it is hardly an ideal option for our country.

Universality of application

The wide range of applications for this model is largely due to the design of the tread pattern and the physical and chemical properties of the rubber compound. The tread pattern of this tire consists of many individual blocks arranged in such a way that when moving, it forms four continuous ribs. This design is effective both on highways and dirt roads, as in the first case it provides good stability and stable behavior at high speeds, and on the other hand, excellent traction and coupling properties on unpaved surfaces. In addition, the massive size of the blocks, combined with their symmetrical arrangement, not only increases the contact area of the tire with the road but also significantly optimizes the distribution of external pressure on the contact patch. This feature, on the one hand, increases the wear resistance of the tread, and on the other hand, allows the tire to withstand high-load operation without any problems.

As for the rubber compound, it is characterized by a high silica content. This component also gives the tread several advantages at once. First and foremost, this is improved traction at low temperatures and resistance to abrasive wear.

Reliable traction on slippery roads

All tread blocks have lamellas cut into them. These miniature elements provide the contact patch with numerous additional traction edges, giving the tire confident behavior on ice, rolled snow, and wet asphalt.
