Description Doublestar DSR165
The Doublestar DSR165 truck tire, designed for installation on the driving axles of trucks, features excellent adaptability to poor road conditions and dirt roads. To a large extent, such a wide range of applications is ensured by the universal tread pattern, which contains a large number of massive blocks. Additionally, this model is favorably distinguished by a rubber compound that, thanks to special components, has very high resistance to abrasive wear.
Original central tread design
One of the key features of the tread pattern design of this model is the structure of the central part. It contains a large number of separate blocks of complex polygonal shape, which form two longitudinal ribs. In combination with the rigid construction of the shoulder areas, this provides the tire with excellent directional stability. This feature is significantly enhanced by the longitudinal lamellas located on each block of the tread center.
In addition, during movement, the tread blocks of the central part form numerous engagement edges, a significant part of which is located transversely. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction.
Block structure of the shoulder areas
Like the central part of the tread, its shoulder areas also contain numerous engagement edges. However, all of them are formed by transverse zigzag-shaped lamellas. When in contact with the road surface, their walls tightly close between themselves, which significantly increases the stiffness of this part of the tread. This feature provides the tire with a number of important properties. First of all, it is a more even distribution of external load across the contact patch, which, on the one hand, improves handling, and on the other hand, increases durability.
