Description Dmack DMT-Ice
The key feature of the Dmack DMT-Ice winter tire is the almost complete absence of any compromise solutions in its design. This is not surprising, given that this model was developed exclusively for use in the WRC championship races. At the same time, its exterior appearance cannot be called aggressive, which is due to the developers' desire to give it an ideal balance between all the main operational properties.
Two versions
This model is offered by the Asian manufacturer in two versions - non-studded and studded. In the second case, the tread is equipped with 220 studs, which provides the tire with exceptional traction on ice.
Narrow scope of application
In addition to the possibility of using only in rally races, the use of this tire is significantly limited by the physical properties of the compound. It provides maximum traction in a fairly narrow temperature range - from +8 to -15 degrees Celsius.
"Civil" tread pattern
The above-mentioned balance of this tire is largely ensured by the design of the tread, which has many solutions characteristic of more "civilian" models. First of all, this is an S-shaped scheme for arranging blocks. At the same time, exceptional handling and traction are provided due to their very massive size and significant distance between them.
Main features of Dmack DMT-Ice
- the tire is designed for use in rally races;
- two versions - with studs and without studs;
- the compound remains elastic in a fairly narrow temperature range;
- excellent handling and traction, thanks to the very large size of the numerous blocks;
- good traction properties on snow are provided by the pronounced ability of the tread to self-clean, as well as the presence of a large number of very extended transverse traction edges.
