Being developed by specialists of the Japanese company Bridgestone, the winter tire Dayton DW510 offers quite decent technical characteristics in the form of reliable and stable traction on any winter roads. At the same time, it remains so throughout the entire very long service life of this model. These operational properties are ensured due to the use of modern technologies and materials in its design, as well as impeccable quality of manufacture.
Optimized V-shaped tread design
Externally, the Dayton DW510 looks very impressive, thanks to the original V-shaped design of its tread pattern. It is formed by numerous transverse drainage grooves that converge and intersect with each other in the central part. They pass between numerous blocks that differ in a variety of shapes and sizes, which is due to the difference in the functions they perform. In particular, in the central part, there are elements of small size. They form a very wide longitudinal rib, thanks to which the tire demonstrates good directional stability and high maneuverability. At the same time, the edges of the blocks created by the blocks provide excellent traction properties on snow.
Increased resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning
The above-mentioned drainage grooves are multifunctional. The combination of large sizes, location against the direction of movement, and a significant number of these elements allows the tire to quickly get rid of not only water but also more heavy snow masses in the contact patch. This ensures the stability and reliability of the traction properties of the Dayton DW510 even in the most unfavorable road conditions.
Key features of the Dayton DW510:
- optimized V-shaped tread pattern design gives the tire increased efficiency on snow and ice;
- very long drainage grooves are located against the direction of movement and have a curved shape, which provides high resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning;
- numerous lamellae form several thousand additional edges of adhesion, and their wavy shape gives the blocks in which they are cut, increased rigidity, which improves handling and also prevents uneven wear.
