The Dayton D200 summer passenger tire was developed by Bridgestone specialists, the company that founded this brand to expand its presence in the market of several countries, including ours. This model is designed for inexpensive passenger cars of the small class. Nevertheless, a number of its operational characteristics are at a very high level, comparable to what is demonstrated by more expensive tires.
Aggressive V-shaped tread pattern of the Dayton D200
This tire differs from other models of this brand, first of all, with its impressive exterior design, which is given to it by the tread pattern. It is made in a very aggressive V-shaped design. At the same time, its effectiveness is surprisingly combined with high efficiency. A significant part of its merits is the central longitudinal rib, divided by a wide drainage groove into two very rigid "halves". This tread element, due to its double continuous structure, improves several important tire characteristics - directional stability, handling and rolling resistance.
In turn, the tread blocks that diverge from the central longitudinal rib in different directions have an original sickle-shaped form. Starting from the center of the tread, they end only in the shoulder areas, which also gives the tire several important advantages. First of all, this is stability when cornering and excellent traction properties when accelerating and braking Dayton D200.
Exceptional resistance to aquaplaning
The aforementioned drainage groove, located exactly in the center of the tread, is one of the main, but far from the only element of the drainage system. It contains many transverse grooves. The efficiency of their work is at a very high level, thanks to several features. They are located at a significant angle against the direction of movement, while they are given a curved shape. All this together gives a multiple increase in the throughput of the drainage grooves, which leads to a significant increase in the tire's resistance to aquaplaning.
