If we consider that the development of the summer passenger tire Dayton D110 was carried out by specialists of the Japanese company Bridgestone, then it's no wonder that it has high technical characteristics. They applied in the design of this model technologies and materials that have proven themselves well in different tires of the Japanese brand at different times.

Zigzag ribs of Dayton D110

A distinctive feature of the tread pattern of this model is two longitudinal zigzag ribs located in its central part. Along with the double rib located between them, these tread elements provide the tire with excellent directional stability at any speed, and also make the tire's reactions to steering wheel turns almost instantaneous and extremely accurate. At the same time, their zigzag edges provide a contact patch with numerous additional traction edges, which, in turn, increase the longitudinal traction properties.

Exceptional resistance to aquaplaning

Right in the middle of the tread of the Dayton D110 there is a wide drainage groove. Excess water entering it is discharged outward through numerous transverse grooves. Their throughput, and with it the resistance to aquaplaning, has been increased many times due to their arrangement against the direction of motion and the provision of a curved shape that prevents the formation of vortices in water flows.

Special multifunctional lamellas

The tread pattern of this tire contains many special lamellas cut in the blocks, both in the central part and in the shoulder zones. They perform several functions at once. First of all, this is the formation of many additional traction edges, which, in combination with their transverse arrangement, improves the longitudinal traction characteristics. In addition, when opening, the lamellas significantly increase the size of the contact patch, which has a positive effect on traction. At the same time, they largely optimize the distribution of external load, which increases the resistance of the tread to uneven wear.

Main features:

- the central longitudinal ribs of the Dayton D110 of the original zigzag shape, along with the double longitudinal rib located between them, improve directional stability and handling;
- most of the drainage grooves are arranged against the direction of motion and have a curved shape, which many times increases their throughput, and with it the tire's resistance to aquaplaning;
- special lamellas improve traction on wet roads, increase the contact patch, optimize the load distribution on it, thereby preventing uneven wear.
