The Contyre Megapolis 3 summer tire is one of the novelties of the well-known domestic manufacturer, designed for car owners who are not willing to overpay for the brand name. Despite its relatively low cost, this model has excellent operational characteristics, which were achieved through close cooperation with leading European tire manufacturers. Another notable feature of this tire is its well-chosen size range, which, although consisting of only 4 sizes, provides excellent applicability.

"Rain" tread pattern

One of the distinctive features of the Contyre Megapolis 3 model is its high resistance to aquaplaning. This was achieved with the help of a very simple but effective drainage system. It consists of four very wide longitudinal water drainage grooves located in the central part of the tread, as well as numerous transverse channels in its shoulder areas. All elements of the drainage system have impressive dimensions, allowing it to easily handle the removal of almost any amount of water from the contact patch. Additionally, the curved shape of the transverse drainage channels in the shoulder areas should be noted. This configuration reduces the likelihood of forming any vortices in the water flow, which significantly increases the speed of its removal.

Excellent traction and adhesion properties

The tread ribs in the shoulder areas have zigzag edges, which form adhesion edges during movement. In combination with the rigid construction of the ribs themselves, this has significantly improved the traction and adhesion properties, especially on wet surfaces.

Excellent directional stability and precise steering response

In addition to the two ribs in the shoulder areas, there is another similar element in the center of the tread. Thanks to its massive size and even edges, the central rib has very high resistance to dynamic deformation. Due to this design feature, the tire demonstrates not only excellent directional stability at any speed but also fast and, most importantly, very precise reactions to steering wheel input.

Reinforced shoulder area construction

In addition to removing water from the contact patch, the shoulder areas of the tread perform a number of other important tasks. First and foremost, this is stability during cornering, which is ensured by the deformation resistance of massive quadrangular blocks. Additionally, the block construction of the shoulder areas allows the tire to demonstrate excellent braking efficiency, especially on wet roads.
