The Contyre Arctic Ice winter tire is suitable for almost any popular small-class passenger car. The model is offered in five of the most common sizes for wheels with diameters from 13 to 15 inches. It is characterized by high efficiency when slowing down on slippery surfaces, giving the car directional stability and ease of handling on long trips.
The tread part of the tire is characterized by an extremely high, even for tires in this category, content of lamellas. Even in the smallest width sizes, there are more than 5,000 of them. This solution significantly increases the coefficient of friction, especially on icy surfaces, completely offsetting the lack of studs. At the same time, the transverse arrangement of the slits provides them with the greatest efficiency during longitudinal accelerations.
It is preserved even at extremely low temperatures. This is ensured by the presence of an increased amount of silica in the compound composition. This component gives it elasticity when strongly cooled.
