Continental ContiWinterContact TS 860 ContiSeal

The Continental ContiWinterContact TS 860 ContiSeal winter tire is a modification of the popular model of the same name for compact and mid-size passenger cars. It is distinguished by increased reliability thanks to ContiSeal technology. In motion, it is characterized by a shortened braking distance on any slippery surface and stability during maneuvering.

On the inside of the tire, there is a sealed cavity with a viscous substance based on natural rubber and polymers. When pierced by a foreign object, it is drawn into the resulting hole, restoring the seal. High adhesion and elasticity allow the vehicle to continue moving. This technology allows for the elimination of damage with a diameter of up to 5 mm.

The tread part of the tire is made from a Cool Chili rubber compound. Its composition is based on silicon dioxide, which gives the tire elasticity while maintaining it under the influence of low temperatures. Special polymers give the compound high uniformity and strength against rupture and stretching. As a result, the grip on slippery winter surfaces increases, and the resistance to abrasive wear improves.
