Description Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850P ContiSilent
The winter tire Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850P ContiSilent is a special version of the same model for passenger cars. The target audience is car owners for whom, along with efficiency on slippery surfaces, acoustic comfort is important in such products.
Perhaps the only difference from the "original" is the presence of a layer of polyurethane foam on the inside of the tire. The fine-porous structure of this material prevents the spread of sound waves that occur when the tire rolls. This has a positive effect on the acoustic comfort inside the car, where low-frequency noises and vibrations from the tires are almost imperceptible.
The effectiveness of the tire on snowy surfaces is largely due to the use of PrecisionPlus and S-Grip technologies. The tread pattern is rich in transverse and longitudinal lamellas. The longitudinal slots, located parallel to the direction of movement, capture and compact the snow in the contact patch due to their configuration, increasing directional stability and steering accuracy. The transverse zigzag lamellas, forming thousands of sharp edges, allow for effective acceleration and deceleration, especially on rolled snow and ice.
Key features:
- polyurethane foam inside the tread absorbs low-frequency noises and vibrations;
- exceptional grip on snow thanks to the effectiveness of PrecisionPlus and S-Grip technologies;
- steering precision is ensured by the resistance to deformation of the shoulder blocks and sidewalls of the tire.
