The Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850 ContiSeal winter tire is designed for medium to large-sized passenger vehicles. It is a special version of the same model, an alternative to Run-Flat modifications, differing in its ability to continue driving with punctures.
However, there are no restrictions on the maximum speed of movement thanks to the features of the damage elimination technology. In the event of a puncture by a foreign object, the hole is sealed with a special gel based on natural rubber and polymers, the layer of which is located on the inside of the tire. The resulting "plug" has physico-chemical properties comparable to the tread compound, allowing for unrestricted continued driving.
The tread pattern has a directional design with a V-shaped arrangement of transverse traction edges. This structure guarantees high traction and deceleration intensity on snow. On icy surfaces, the tire's performance is supported by several thousand lamellas, forming a corresponding number of sharp edges. Massive dual blocks on the edges of the tread provide precise handling and directional stability.
