The key feature of the Continental ContiWinterContact TS830P winter tire for passenger cars is its virtually perfect balance between all technical characteristics, each of which is at a level unattainable for most competitors. This was achieved through the massive use of advanced technologies and new-generation materials in both the development process and the production stage of this model.
High braking efficiency
A distinctive feature of this asymmetric tread pattern is the large number of grip edges, which number in the thousands. The vast majority of them are formed by lamellas, with which the tread is literally filled. Almost all of them are located at a large angle relative to the direction of movement. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent braking on any slippery surface. At the same time, the wavy shape of the lamellas limits the lateral mobility of the blocks, which has a positive effect on traction and directional stability.
Fast response to steering wheel turns and excellent handling
Like any modern tire, this model is distinguished by the fact that almost all the technologies used in it, to a greater or lesser extent, enhance and complement their impact on technical characteristics. One such solution is the division of the tread into several interrelated functional zones. The practical result of this is improved handling and very fast, precise responses to steering wheel turns.
Main features of the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830P tire
- high braking efficiency on any slippery surfaces is ensured by the many thousands of lamellas that create numerous grip edges and limit the lateral mobility of the blocks, which improves directional stability and stability of traction properties;
- increased service life due to the rigid construction of the carcass with a reinforced breaker and an optimized scheme for arranging the tread blocks, which ensures the most even distribution of external pressure over the contact patch.
