Continental ContiVikingContact 2
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Continental ContiVikingContact 2
All-season tire Continental ContiVikingContact 2, unlike most analogs from other brands, is excellent for everyday use, including on winter roads. This model stands out for its improved traction properties on snowy and icy surfaces, ease of handling when changing direction, along with acoustic comfort, fuel efficiency, and extended service life.
The tread pattern is designed in a symmetrical design, which features massive blocks. Their longitudinal edges have a zigzag profile, which increases traction on snowy surfaces, as well as extended transverse walls of a curved shape, providing more traction and increased intensity when braking. Another feature of the pattern is the presence of a dual longitudinal rib in the central part, which increases stability and steering precision at high speed, reducing rolling resistance, noise, and wear. The wide longitudinal groove located between the two "halves" of the rib significantly reduces the risk of loss of control in adverse weather conditions. It is worth noting the presence of a large number of lamellae in the pattern. The cuts have a modern design with a "three-dimensional" profile of the vertical walls and sinusoidal edges. In combination with their different directional arrangement, this significantly improves the traction properties on the most slippery icy surfaces. The next important feature of the tire is its profile with optimized curvature, unchanged over the entire area of the tread. This maximally increases the contact patch, leveling the load distribution on the road surface. In combination with the increased stiffness of the shoulder blocks and the special structure of the carcass and sidewalls, this provides more precise vehicle control and stability of traction properties in any driving mode.
Main features of Continental ContiVikingContact 2:
- massive blocks with extended edges increase traction on snowy surfaces;
- numerous 3D lamellae provide reliable handling on ice and wet surfaces;
- dual longitudinal rib in the middle ensures stable traction and precise steering at high speed;
- optimized tread profile, special carcass and sidewall structure improve handling, reduce wear, noise, and rolling resistance

I use non-studded ContiVikingContact2 tyres. They behave perfectly on dry asphalt, but when there is ice or loose snow, they become a problem - the handling of the vehicle is lost. Also, I am very disappointed with the rubber quality: after 3 years of operation, one tyre went into disrepair due to a side crack formed as a result of passing an ordinary railway crossing. In general, I would like to highlight the softness of the rubber, which carries both

Well, what can I say about the tire? I've driven about 400 km so far. The first thing that struck me was the noise on asphalt (I'm still running it in, so I haven't driven faster than 90). I don't know what it will be like later, and the constant wheel spin when starting (also annoying). Maybe it's supposed to be that way, I don't know, if you all write that it's quiet compared to Hakka, I'm

I've been driving on these tires for two seasons all year round. The tires are excellent in all respects by 100 percent. I was looking for exactly the same ones, but they are not available for sale anywhere. Now I'm considering the 3rd option. There are no reviews of those.
