Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Continental ContiVanContact Ice
The winter tire Continental ContiVanContact Ice is designed for commercial vehicles of small capacity. On any slippery surface, it differs in traction and coupling properties, demonstrating reliability and a long service life in the most unfavorable road conditions.
Improved traction on icy surfaces
Unlike most tires of other brands in this category, the tread of this model is equipped with studs. The steel elements are distributed in such a way that in the zone contacting the road surface, they form ten continuous longitudinal rows. The additional effectiveness of the studs is ensured by the rigid structure of their installation sites and their reliable fixation in the tread using a special adhesive compound. The result of all these solutions is an exceptional grip on ice and compacted snow for tires in this category.
Reliable predictable handling on snow
The tread is made in a sufficiently open design with numerous blocks. In the central part, they are arranged in pairs, being connected by massive bridges. This significantly limits the mobility of the blocks, which gives stability to the coupling properties. The significant height of the edges, their significant length, and multidirectionality allow the tread to grasp the snow with very high efficiency. When driving on snow, all these features provide the tire with excellent stability and stability in handling with fast and accurate reactions to the driver's actions.
Optimal lamella arrangement
The entire tread is literally filled with narrow sinusoidal slots. In the central part, they are arranged at a sufficiently large angle relative to the direction of movement. This solution improved the directional stability on compacted snow and ice. In the shoulder zones, the lamellas are arranged strictly transversely. As a result, the traction force and deceleration intensity increase on slippery surfaces. All these properties are further enhanced by the sinusoidal shape of the slots, which increases the length of the edges formed by them.
Key features of Continental ContiVanContact Ice
- exceptional efficiency on icy surfaces due to studs forming 10 continuous longitudinal rows;
- reliable predictable handling on snow thanks to the original block shape in the central part and the rigidity of the elements at the edges of the tread;
- the multidirectionality and multiplicity of sinusoidal lamellas improve traction and handling on slippery surfaces in any driving mode.

Excellent tires!!! Not noisy despite the studs, soft. On ice and snow, the car drives like on dry asphalt. I definitely recommend!!!

Excellent tires performed through the winter season on city roads and highway. Lost 4 studs from 6 tires. Snow banks, slush, and ice - great traction and stability of the vehicle. Sometimes drive with overloading. Tire rating 5+.

The Continental Conti Van Contact Ice 185/75 R16C 104/102R tire data - is excellent for one season only. Using it in the next season adds a lot of headaches, namely:
loss and loosening of the studs,
air leaks through a fallen stud, although there is no through hole,
as a result, we put a camera,
the studs are pressed through and a bump is created inside the tire, which wears out the camera and the wheel is empty again.
I'll tell you for that kind of money, premium tires are a complete waste.
I don't have many Gazelles, only 4 cars, and each had such tires, I drive my own goods, I don't overload the cars.
In short, I wrote as it is and switched to Sailun, with which there are no problems at all.- Vehicle:
