The Continental ContiTrac AT summer tire is designed for medium- and large-sized SUVs and pickups. It is versatile in application, thanks to its high efficiency on asphalt roads and most types of gravel surfaces. On the move, it is characterized by ease of handling, intense braking, resistance to aquaplaning and mechanical damage.
The tread pattern features four longitudinal rows of large blocks. This design reduces rolling resistance, slows down the wear process, increases directional stability and precision in handling when driving on asphalt roads. The rigid "bridges" between the blocks on the edges of the tread add maneuverability and even wear of the tire's tread to these properties. The high and curved transverse edges of the blocks provide excellent traction on loose unstable gravel surfaces. And the wide grooves between the elements in such conditions allow the tread to intensively self-clean, preventing "clogging". On the highway, this feature of the tread pattern ensures excellent resistance to hydroplaning.
Key Features of Continental ContiTrac AT
- continuous longitudinal ribs reduce rolling resistance, slow down the tread wear process, provide directional stability and precise handling during straight-line driving;
- numerous lamellas increase braking intensity on wet surfaces;
- long curved block edges provide good off-road capability.
