The Continental ContiTouringContact AS all-season tire is designed for a wide range of passenger cars. The target audience for the model is those who prefer road travel to other types of tourism. The tire is characterized by excellent traction properties on slippery surfaces, a soft and quiet ride, and fuel efficiency.
The tread of the tire is made from a rubber compound with unique physicochemical properties. The use of natural rubber, finely dispersed silica particles, and special polymers has made it possible to reduce the heating of the tire during prolonged high-speed driving, increase its "grip" on cold slippery surfaces, and provide resistance to wear and other mechanical damage. The tread pattern is distinguished by an increased number of traction edges formed by both blocks and the lamellas cut into them. A significant part of them has a transverse arrangement, which makes it possible to achieve high intensity of longitudinal accelerations on both wet and snowy surfaces.
Key features:
- the rubber compound with a unique composition reduces rolling resistance, enhances traction on cold slippery surfaces, and provides resistance to abrasive wear, punctures, and tears;
- numerous transverse traction edges allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on slippery surfaces;
- the optimized profile of the shoulder blocks increases stability during maneuvering and prevents uneven wear.
