The Continental ContiSportContact 7 Contisilent summer tire is designed for passenger cars with enhanced dynamic characteristics. It represents a special version of the same model, differing in reduced noise and vibration levels. In terms of driving properties, both tires are identical. It demonstrates sporty precision in handling, stability of traction properties at any speed, and efficiency when braking on wet surfaces.
Updated Compound
As in the previous model, the tread of this tire is made from the BlackChili rubber mixture, the composition of which, despite its effectiveness, has been changed. This allowed for further improvement of a number of properties, which had a positive impact on braking intensity and rolling resistance.
Optimized Tread Pattern
The tread pattern compared to the 6th SportContact has changed much more noticeably. First of all, the longitudinal ribs have been increased, which has improved the directional stability and accuracy of steering at high speeds and during maneuvering. The extended edges of the blocks and lamellas allow for much more efficient realization of traction and braking effort, especially on wet surfaces. It's worth noting the significant width of the longitudinal grooves, as well as the original shape of the drainage elements along the edges of the tread. This significantly increases the intensity of water removal, providing the tire with an even greater margin of stability when cornering.
Low Noise Level
For its category, the tire demonstrates an extremely low level of noise and vibration even on "rough" asphalt. This is largely due to the presence of an additional layer of polyurethane foam on its inner side. The porous elastic material absorbs most of the vibrations from the rolling tire, not allowing them to be "transmitted" to the car's cabin through its body panels and suspension elements.
