The summer tire Continental ContiSportContact 5 SUV ContiSeal is designed for SUVs and crossovers. It is a special version of the same-name HT-category model with a higher level of reliability. The tire design uses technology to eliminate minor damage, allowing for continued movement in the event of punctures.

The inner side of the tire contains a cavity with a gel-like substance based on rubber and polymers. In the event of a puncture, it seals the hole, restoring the seal. After hardening, this material has the same elasticity as the tread part of the tire, and its high adhesive ability ensures the reliability of holding such a "plug".

The tread part of the tire has a directional design with an asymmetric arrangement of elements. One of its features is the use of so-called "macro-blocks" in the shoulder areas. The massive elements, having excellent resistance to lateral deformation, give the tire high stability during maneuvering and precision handling.

The latest iteration of the Black Chili rubber compound is used in the manufacture of the tire. The presence of special polymers in the composition adapts the tire to a particular mode of movement, for example, reducing the length of the braking distance when slowing down, or reducing rolling resistance during uniform movement.
