The summer tire Continental ContiSportContact 3 ContiSeal is a modification of the same model for passenger cars. It features the ContiSeal technology, which allows the vehicle to continue moving even with a punctured tread. The changes made to the design did not affect the tire's performance in any way.
The ContiSeal technology involves the use of a special layer of viscous polymer material in the tread structure. When a puncture occurs, this material is drawn into the hole by the airflow, simultaneously hardening upon contact with it. This solution allows for the repair of punctures up to 5 mm in diameter, even if the object that caused them remains stuck.
The tread has an asymmetric design with enlarged elements. Due to their size, these elements have significant resistance to deformation, which ensures high stability of the tire's grip properties and precision handling. These properties are fully retained on wet surfaces. This is due to the use of special inclined grooves in the longitudinal ribs, which significantly reduce the likelihood of aquaplaning, even at high speeds.
Key features:
- ContiSeal puncture repair technology increases reliability;
- asymmetric tread pattern with large elements provides stable grip and precise handling;
- inclined grooves in the longitudinal ribs prevent aquaplaning and uneven wear.
