Description Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 ContiSeal
Except for some design features, the summer tire Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 ContiSeal is an exact copy of the same model designed for passenger vehicles. The only difference is the presence of an additional layer of tread. It contains a special material, the physico-chemical properties of which allow the tire to repair damage with a diameter of up to 5 mm on its own. They are sealed, which prevents pressure loss even if the object that damaged the tire is pulled out or lost. The technology has been named ContiSeal, and its use is indicated by the image of a nail on the sidewall of the tire.
Reliable behavior in a difficult situation
The tire is characterized by reliability in the most difficult road situations. It is largely provided by the functionality of the shoulder blocks. They not only have large dimensions, but are also connected to each other by rigid bridges. As a result, the grip is enhanced, the stability of these properties is increased when maneuvering.
Shorter braking distance
The tire's tread is also highly effective when slowing down. The shorter braking distance is provided by 3D lamellas. They not only form additional edges that the tread clings to the road with, but also limit the mobility of the blocks, which achieves a more even distribution of external load over the contact surface.
Key features of Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 ContiSeal
- contains an additional tread layer that seals small damages with a diameter of up to 5 mm;
- shoulder "macroblocks" improve stability when maneuvering, provide stable predictable behavior;
- high efficiency when slowing down thanks to 3D lamellas;
- low noise level and smooth ride are ensured by the multi-step arrangement of tread elements and the reduced number of lateral voids in the longitudinal ribs.
