Continental ContiIceContact XTRM – a novelty from the famous German manufacturer, presented in a modification without spikes. The tire is designed for installation on passenger cars operated in urban conditions. Despite the lack of spikes, it demonstrates stability on icy and snowy asphalt, guaranteeing full control over the vehicle.
The directional tread pattern of the model is formed by a large number of block structures that carry wavy three-dimensional lamellas. This achieves efficiency in acceleration and braking characteristics. The tire also has a developed drainage system with high throughput. It opens outward in the shoulder area, contributing to the rapid evacuation of slush and water from the contact area. This maintains contact stability on any surface.
The compound with an optimized composition, which includes silica, polymer additives, natural oils, and elastomers, ensures the preservation of elasticity under various temperature regimes. This has a positive effect on maintaining working characteristics.
Key features of Continental ContiIceContact XTRM:
- versatility of application in winter on urban roads and highways;
- reliability of coupling properties on icy and snowy surfaces due to numerous gripping edges formed by lamellas and block structures;
- highly efficient drainage system with high throughput;
- compound with the ability to adapt to various temperature regimes
