The Continental ContiIceContact 2 ContiSilent winter tire is a special version of the same-name tire for passenger cars. The difference from the "original" is the reduced level of low-frequency noise and vibrations. In all other respects, both models are identical to each other.
On the inside of the tire, there is a layer of polyurethane foam about 3 mm thick. The yellow synthetic material has a highly porous structure that effectively absorbs sound waves from tire rolling, preventing the appearance of low-frequency hum in the car cabin. The tread pattern uses Divided Tread technology, dividing it into several functional areas. This solution improves traction on snow, increases steering accuracy, and enhances stability during maneuvering.
Key features:
- a layer of polyurethane foam reduces noise in the car cabin;
- high reliability of stud fixation in the tread thanks to StudOn Retention technology;
- the Divided Tread tread pattern improves traction on snow, steering accuracy, and stability when cornering.
