Continental ContiEcoContact 6 ContiSeal

The Continental ContiEcoContact 6 ContiSeal summer tire is a special version of the same "energy-efficient" model for passenger cars. The main difference from the "original" is the increased reliability due to the possibility of continuing movement with minor punctures of the tread.

This possibility is provided by the ContiSeal technology, which is reflected in the name of the tire. Under its carcass, there is a sealed cavity filled with a viscous polymer substance. When the tread is damaged, it is pulled into the hole and almost immediately hardens, remaining elastic. As a result, the tightness of the tire is fully restored, allowing the movement to continue without any repairs.

The tread part of the tire is made from the 2nd version of the Black Chili compound. The difference from the rubber mixture of the previous iteration is the improved resistance to wear. This is achieved through the use of special polymers that have increased the strength of intermolecular bonds between rubber and silicon dioxide.
