Description Continental ContiCrossContact LX Sport ContiSealSilent
The summer tire Continental ContiCrossContact LX Sport ContiSealSilent is installed on crossovers and SUVs. It represents a special version of the same model, differing in increased reliability and acoustic comfort. Like the standard tire, it shows the greatest efficiency on asphalt roads.
Increased reliability
A significant part of innovative technical solutions falls on the inner part of the tire. First of all, it is a sealed cavity filled with a special viscous material based on natural rubber. In case of a through hole, it is pulled inside the hole by the air coming out of the tire and restores its tightness. Such technology makes it possible to eliminate punctures with a diameter of up to 6 mm.
Improved acoustic comfort
Another interesting technical solution is the use of a layer of foam polyurethane on the inner side of the tire. The lightweight porous material contains a multitude of small voids, which makes it possible to absorb a significant part of noise and vibrations and not "transmit" them to the car's interior through the body and suspension details. The small weight of such a "layer" makes it possible to preserve all the riding properties of the tire in full.
Effective tread pattern in any conditions
The tread pattern is made in an asymmetric design and features a large number of separate blocks. The edges formed by them make it possible to effectively realize traction and braking effort not only on asphalt roads but also on dirt roads. The increased drainage grooves even in such conditions allow the tread to intensively self-clean from dirt particles. Another feature is the arrangement of shoulder blocks and large sizes of elements in the central part. This solution improves directional stability at high speeds and accuracy in handling when maneuvering.
Main features of Continental ContiCrossContact LX Sport ContiSealSilent
- increased reliability due to the puncture elimination system;
- high level of acoustic comfort is ensured by the presence of a noise- and vibration-insulating material on the inner side of the tire.
- the large height of the blocks and the increased width of the drainage grooves allow the tire to retain a significant part of its performance outside of roads with solid pavement.
