DescriptionDescription Continental Conti4x4WinterContact
The Continental Conti4x4WinterContact non-studded winter tire for passenger cars, thanks to its excellent performance characteristics, can be considered a standard for winter tires. This tire is perfect for the vast majority of car enthusiasts who drive on domestic roads in high-clearance vehicles, i.e. crossovers, SUVs, pickups, and other SUV category vehicles.
Since the main task in designing this tire was to ensure excellent traction in any conditions, the German tire manufacturers preferred to use a tread with an asymmetrical directional pattern design. Additionally, the tread pattern of the tire was built using the advanced five-rib scheme, i.e. three longitudinal ribs are located in the center of the tread, and the other two are shoulder zones. Thanks to the use of an asymmetrical design, the tread pattern consists of two parts - one part provides excellent traction during straight-line movement, and the other is responsible for behavior when cornering.
Since the Conti4x4WinterContact tire is designed for high-clearance vehicles, the tread pattern is equipped with a large number of individual blocks that are distinguished by their great height and massiveness. Additionally, the distance between these blocks is made sufficiently large for effective removal of snow, slush, and mud from the tire tread, which, in combination with a large number of sharp block edges, provides excellent traction in snow and mud. Despite the absence of studs, this tire behaves excellently when driving on ice, thanks to the presence of numerous multidirectional S-shaped lamellas on the tread, which penetrate through the water film with their edges, ensuring excellent traction even on icy surfaces.
Main features of the Continental Conti4x4WinterContact
- Asymmetrical directional tread pattern design provides excellent traction with snowy and icy surfaces, as well as high cross-country capability.
- Multidirectional arrangement of S-shaped lamellas, which provides excellent directional stability and traction in various road conditions;
- Excellent tread self-cleaning characteristics due to wide transverse grooves.

Colleagues changed me winter tires on October 28, 2013 since I leave every morning at 5:30. Everything would have been fine, but on the night of November 13th to 14th it got down to a light minus. As a result, probably no one else on the MKAD has ever spun out like me. I was thrown out of the lane, and the ABS kicked my leg all the way out. Fortunately, no one was hurt and there was

Excellent tire for southern winters. Aquaplaning is superb. Ice is reliably handled. We don't get much snow. I'm impressed by the low noise level and the soft handling of road irregularities.
