The Continental Conti.eContact summer tire is a highly specialized product designed for specific operating conditions, typical of electric vehicles, for which this model was developed. At the time of its release, it had no analogs. The tire is designed for compact cars and is characterized by minimal rolling resistance and aerodynamic optimization of the design.
Reduced rolling resistance
The tire features extremely low rolling resistance, which is achieved not only by optimizing the tread pattern design. The tire's design includes programmable deformation zones, i.e., under load and multidirectional acceleration forces, the tire maintains its size and shape in the form of a narrow rectangular contact patch with the road surface. The tire's carcass design uses only synthetic materials with a very low weight, which also reduces rolling resistance.
Effective deceleration from any speed
In the absence of separate blocks, the tire's tread provides high efficiency during braking, even on wet pavement. This is achieved through numerous lamellas in the shoulder areas, which form additional gripping edges when contacting the road. Their curved shape and optimized arrangement reduce the noise level.
Key features of the Continental Conti.eContact tire
- extremely low rolling resistance due to special deformation zones in the sidewalls;
- braking efficiency thanks to special lamellas in the shoulder areas;
- AeroFlex technology reduces the tire's aerodynamic resistance at high speeds.
