Cachland CH-268
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Cachland CH-268
The Cachland CH-268 summer tire is designed for compact passenger cars. It is characterized by a high level of driving and acoustic comfort, reliable handling in difficult conditions, and a long service life.
Classic Tread
The tire's tread is designed in a classic style for such products, with an S-shaped arrangement of elements. This solution, despite its seeming "moral obsolescence," has a number of important advantages. First and foremost, it is the increased size of the contact patch, which, like its shape, is little affected by the impact of multidirectional acceleration forces. This feature provides the tire with reliable and predictable behavior in difficult situations. Another significant advantage is the reduced rolling resistance, as most of the block's edges are arranged at a significant angle to the direction of movement. This same feature also results in a low noise level when moving.
Wide Shoulder Areas
More than half of the tread area is allocated to the shoulder areas. Each of them contains numerous blocks. Their significant width and arrangement perpendicular to the direction of movement gives the tire exceptional stability when maneuvering. Another advantage of this solution is the high efficiency during longitudinal accelerations, especially on wet surfaces. Such blocks, when in contact with the road surface, form very long grip edges.
Several Types of Lameles
A characteristic feature of the tread is the increased number of grip edges. Most of them are formed not by blocks, but by slotted lameles. Several types of such elements are used here. In the central part, there are wavy lameles. Intersecting with each other, they not only divert water from the contact patch but also increase the block's contact area with the road surface. As a result, not only the grip but also the softness of the ride, the resistance to uneven wear are improved. The shoulder areas contain straight lameles. They dry the contact patch, diverting water, and additionally strengthen the grip properties when braking and accelerating on wet surfaces.
Main Features of Cachland CH-268
- a classic S-shaped tread provides reliable grip on dry surfaces, reduces fuel consumption and noise level, prevents uneven wear;
- wide shoulder areas improve grip properties when maneuvering, accelerating, and braking;
- several types of lameles provide more reliable behavior in difficult road conditions.

A standard, classic tire, quiet and comfortable, not for racing enthusiasts. I wouldn't recommend driving above 120 km/h in the rain. No punctures all season, excellent balancing, no defects or blisters, I ride on it every day, both on the track and in the city.

Good for asphalt, but be careful on gravel as it's easy to cut.
