The summer tire Bridgestone Turanza T005A is designed for prolonged movement on high-speed highways. In such conditions, it provides a high level of driving and acoustic comfort, distinguishing itself by fuel efficiency, precision handling, and braking efficiency regardless of weather conditions.
High-speed stability
The tread pattern is made in an asymmetric directional design. It is characterized by the massiveness of the elements, primarily the three longitudinal ribs that form the central part. The solid structure and large width of these elements give them high resistance to deformation and, as a consequence, guarantee directional stability at high speeds. In addition, this solution gives the handling process quickness and precision of reactions to the driver's actions.
Low risk of aquaplaning
The central part also contains four longitudinal grooves. These elements, having an increased volume due to their size, reduce the risk of aquaplaning to a minimum at almost any speed. The longitudinal edges formed by them effectively prevent lateral skidding on slippery surfaces.
Increased contact patch
The tread profile is made with a variable radius, being practically flat only in the central part. This shape under load allows the width of the contact zone with the road surface to be significantly increased. At the same time, the design of the shoulder zones of the tread makes it practically rectangular and little prone to changes under the influence of lateral acceleration forces. This solution not only strengthens the grip properties but also gives them excellent stability, greatly simplifying the process of managing the vehicle in any driving modes.
"Signature" sidewalls
For decades, the "signature" feature of all passenger tires of this Japanese manufacturer has been the strength of the sidewalls. This model is no exception. Moreover, the sidewall construction used here provides them with additional functionality. Thanks to special technical solutions, this element of the tire under load takes on a shape that is optimal from the point of view of both reliability and smoothness of the ride, and handling, additionally increasing the smoothness of the ride and sports sharpness, respectively.
Key features of Bridgestone Turanza T005A
- high-speed stability due to the massiveness and deformation resistance of the tread elements;
- optimized profile, increasing the contact patch and its stability under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces;
- reinforced sidewalls with special deformation zones ensure a balance between reliability, smoothness of the ride, and handling.
