Bridgestone RE-71 Denloc 195/60 R13
Specifications
DescriptionDescription Bridgestone RE-71 Denloc 195/60 R13
The Bridgestone RE-71 Denloc summer tire belongs to the Potenza line of sports tires, becoming one of the iconic models for the Japanese brand. It was created specifically for BMW passenger cars with the Denloc Run-Flat system, which became a standard feature for this German brand in the late 1980s, allowing for continued driving in the event of a puncture. The developers managed to preserve all the "signature" features of the Potenza line - sports handling and stability at high speeds.
Special Rubber Compound
To a large extent, such a set of operational properties is ensured by the characteristics of the compound applied here. The High Grip Silica mixture combines micro-particles of silicon dioxide and synthetic elastomers, providing an optimal balance between grip and wear resistance. Silica increases adhesion on wet pavement, and heat-resistant polymers allow the tire to maintain its properties at extreme temperatures, characteristic of high-speed driving. Subsequently, this composition became the basis for all models of the Potenza line, which is still used in modified form to this day.
Technologies
The tire was developed in conjunction with BMW engineers, and one of the results of this joint collaboration was the Denloc Run-Flat technology, which represents a whole complex of complex technical solutions. First and foremost, these are reinforced sidewalls and a special rim profile that is rigidly fixed to the rim, preventing the tire from coming off the disk at zero pressure. The internal structure of the carcass is made of a multi-level synthetic cord with nylon reinforcement, which increases resistance to deformation. The Jointless Belt Construction technology provides uniform tension of the breaker layers, which improves balance and reduces vibration.
Another component was the rubber compound, which, in addition to its resistance to abrasive wear, is also distinguished by its ability to withstand prolonged thermal effects without loss of integrity of the tread during operation without internal air pressure. It is also worth noting the presence of an additional layer of rubber with high thermal conductivity under the breaker, which significantly reduces the heating of the tire when moving in a deflated state.
Comfort and Reliability
Despite its sports orientation, the tire is distinguished by a relatively high level of comfort. The internal construction with an enhanced sealing layer reduces the level of noise and vibration, and the special shape of the rim allows the tire to fit tightly to the wheel disk, increasing stability during lateral loads.
Main Features of Bridgestone RE-71 Denloc:
- Denloc Run-Flat technology allows you to continue driving after losing pressure, ensuring safety and stability;
- The compound with a special composition improves grip on wet and dry pavement and increases thermal resistance;
- The heat-dissipating layer under the breaker prevents overheating and increases the lifespan of the tire.
