The symmetrically directed tread pattern contributes to the improvement of high-speed characteristics on both dry and wet roads. In the latter case, the system of channels and grooves facilitates the instant removal of water masses from under the contact patch. Also, such a tread pattern has a positive effect on acceleration and braking performance, eliminating wheelspin at startup and minimizing the braking distance.
