The Bridgestone Potenza RE031 summer tire was developed by one of the leaders of the Japanese tire industry specifically for powerful and high-speed passenger cars with increased passability. The fact that this tire was once supplied to the assembly line of the Lexus RX300 model speaks of its high operational and technical characteristics.
A distinctive feature of this tire is the use of technologies previously used in the development of tires for Formula 1 cars.
The tread of this model is equipped with an S-shaped symmetrical non-directional pattern, which is distinguished by a progressive five-rib design. To provide high stability, Japanese tire engineers equipped the tire with a very wide double longitudinal rib. This technical solution made it possible to give this tread element a very high level of structural rigidity. Thanks to this, the tire was able to provide not only excellent stability in the entire speed range, but also significantly improve braking efficiency, handling agility, and reduce rolling resistance.
The longitudinal ribs of the Bridgestone Potenza RE031 tire, also located in the central part of the tread, represent rows of individual blocks created using the Flat Force Block technology. These four-sided blocks provide stability and even distribution of the load on the contact patch, which ensures more reliable traction regardless of the driving mode.
As you know, all products of this Japanese company are distinguished by an amazing combination of sports handling and comfort. In this model, this was achieved thanks to the rigid construction of the shoulder zones, which gave the handling a sports character, and the special structure of the tire sidewalls, the shape of which resembles the letter "O", which made it possible to provide the tire with softness when moving.
