The Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000 winter tire is designed for operation in regions with a truly cold climate. On any snow-covered and icy roads, it demonstrates reliable handling, stable traction, effective braking, along with the "signature" for this brand's tires, resistance to sidewall damage and a long service life.
The tire's tread has a two-layer structure, where the lower base layer is made of a more rigid material, and the outer, contacting the road surface, has increased elasticity. This solution allowed improving the directional stability and handling accuracy, reducing wear, as well as traction properties at low temperatures.
The "signature" reliability of the tire is ensured by two design features. First of all, these are the sidewalls, the structure of which contains an reinforced additional layer of cord. The breaker, located directly under the tread, also has a two-layer structure, which has high resistance to external mechanical stress.
The tread pattern has a classic design for winter tires with a directed V-shaped arrangement of grooves. This allows using the rotation of the wheel to remove water and its mixture with snow from the contact patch, which significantly increases the intensity of this process. These grooves run between the blocks, the transverse walls of which provide excellent traction and stability on snow. Another feature of the tread pattern is the very dense arrangement of lamellas. Narrow slits with saw-toothed sharpened edges allow avoiding wheelspin and wheel lockup, as well as lateral skidding on icy surfaces.
