DescriptionDescription Bridgestone Dueler H/T 840
The all-season passenger tire Bridgestone Dueler H/T 840, produced by the renowned Japanese manufacturer, is designed, like any other tire in the Dueler line, for vehicles with increased off-road capability, including SUVs and pickups. The key feature of this tire is its exceptional balance of operational characteristics, which significantly expands its range of applications.
The design of the non-directional symmetric tread pattern was created using computer modeling tools. The Japanese tire makers faced a challenging task of providing the tire with excellent traction on hard surfaces on the one hand, and decent off-road capabilities on the other. To a large extent, this is why the central rib has such an original structure, characterized by high rigidity and wavy edges. This solution made it possible to achieve excellent directional stability and reduced rolling resistance when driving on ordinary highways.
Also, in the central part of the tread, there are two rows of separate blocks grouped into two separate ribs. These blocks are distinguished by a very complex configuration and massiveness, which made it possible to provide a large contact patch area and, at the same time, reliable behavior off paved roads. The two rows of blocks, the central rib, and the shoulder areas of the tread are separated from each other by longitudinal grooves with wavy edges. This solution provided the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 840 tire not only with high efficiency in water and mud evacuation from the contact patch but also had a beneficial effect on reducing the noise level when driving. The specifics of operating vehicles with increased off-road capability also affected the design of the shoulder areas of the tread, each of which represents a row of massive traction lugs that effectively grip unstable soil.
Main features of the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 840 tire
- ideal balance of operational characteristics is ensured by the optimized design of the non-directional symmetric tread pattern, created using computer modeling tools;
- excellent directional stability, low fuel consumption due to the original central rib design;
- decent off-road capabilities, thanks to a large number of massive blocks and traction lugs.

I use these tyres from April to November. The current set of tyres was mounted at the factory. The estimated mileage for this set of tyres is 75,000 km. The wear is almost complete, the front tyres are worn down to the wear indicator, while the rear ones are still showing the wear indicator. I drove almost all of Eastern Ukraine on these tyres. The speed on highway is 130-140 km/h, and I sometimes accelerate to 160 km/h. The mileage in the

I fitted a set on my 2010 Nissan NP300 Pick Up, size 255/70 16H. These tyres are specifically designed for summer driving on asphalt and dry hard ground only. Below -5°C the tread becomes extremely hard and it's not safe to drive them in winter conditions. They work reasonably well on a hot summer day and motorway - very quiet, low rolling resistance (saves 8 litres per 100 km), normal handling and braking, but will hydroplane
