DescriptionDescription Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697
Released by one of the most famous Japanese manufacturers, the universal passenger tire Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697 has come to replace the popular A/T 694 model. Like its predecessor, this tire is designed for premium-class passenger vehicles with increased cross-country ability.
The most advanced technical developments of the company were applied in the creation of the tire. The non-directional symmetric tread pattern has an ultra-modern design. The tread pattern, traditionally for tires of this category, consists of three longitudinal ribs located in the center of the tread, and two shoulder zones. Each of the three central ribs is a separate row of massive blocks, the shape of which was optimized using computer modeling tools, which made it possible to provide the tire with unprecedented balance of characteristics. The Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697 tire demonstrates stability and reliability of behavior in various road conditions.
It is also impossible not to note the excellent efficiency of water, snow, and mud removal from the tire's contact patch. This is ensured by the system of longitudinal and transverse grooves and channels, the improved and streamlined shape of which has significantly increased the water circulation speed in the contact patch, as well as provided the tire with excellent self-cleaning properties. In addition, the special design of the grooves made it possible to change their shape to increase the stiffness of the tread, which further improved the tire's basic characteristics.
It is especially worth noting the design of the shoulder zones of the tread, the seamless combination of blocks and lugs of which turns these zones into a single and solid element of the tread. The shape and height of the blocks located in the shoulder zones were also optimized using computer modeling tools, which made it possible to significantly reduce noise and increase the tire's wear resistance.
The main features of the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697 tire
- Innovative tread pattern design provides excellent handling and traction on the surface, regardless of road conditions;
- Excellent cross-country characteristics due to the unique shape and structure of the tread blocks;
- Softness and low noise level when moving are provided by the tread pattern optimized using computer modeling.

Car: Mitsubishi Pajero 2
The first set of tires went for about 5 years and 85-90 thousand km. Worn down to almost zero. Puncture-resistant. Had only one puncture in five years, and that was a large nail of about 10-15 mm in diameter and 10 cm long (I suspect that some "good Samaritan" drove it under the wheel on a parking lot).

Purchased for warm season. Satisfied with performance. Haven't tested on ice and in snow. Wet/dry road - okay. Road noise and unevenness not felt. In mud, no issue, but also used on asphalt (where on Cooper STT I drive on rear-wheel drive on this with difficulty on full).

1. Excellent everyday tire, fairly universal, fully justifies the AT name. 2. Doesn't fear stones, I mean, scratches until they appear, more resistant to them, therefore significantly harder than Kumo MT. 3. You can drive on wet ground, but don't expect miracles, saving from heavy off-road on it is a dubious option (on moderately deflated, though), getting out of the normal track to drive on it seems hopeless to me. 4. On snow
