Like its predecessor, the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 693 II is designed for SUVs and pickup trucks that operate both on paved roads and on rough terrain. It is a universal model, effective on any type of road surface, while also being characterized by comfort, smooth ride, durability, and resistance to damage.
The tread pattern is a complex combination of blocks. In the central part, they form a continuous longitudinal rib, which provides stability of traction properties at high speeds, reducing rolling resistance and wear, mainly on paved roads. The blocks of the shoulder zones are distributed in groups of several elements each, forming elongated edges that increase traction properties on unpaved surfaces. This design provides a more even distribution of pressure on the road surface, thereby reducing the abrasive effect on the entire tread. Another feature of its pattern is the presence of a large number of lamellas. These cuts, forming a multitude of sharp edges, increase the effectiveness of the tread on wet hard surfaces. It is worth noting the use of a tire with a combined structure, where, in addition to cords made of elastan and nylon, kevlar is also used. Such "interlayers" significantly increase the tire's resistance to punctures, tears, and impact, increasing its mileage when operating off paved roads.
