One of the applications of modern technology is the tread pattern of the Bridgestone Blizzak LM35, made in the "fashionable" asymmetric design. It was developed in "digital", i.e. using computer modeling technologies. It is these technologies that have given the tire such a "signature" feature as the perfect balance between all the main operational properties. To achieve this, artificial intelligence divided the tread into several functional zones, each of which performs a strictly defined set of tasks.

One of the characteristic features of this model is the square shape of the contact patch, which does not change its geometric parameters even under strong influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. In the absence of studs, a significant part of the traction properties is ensured by the edges created by lamellas cut into all tread blocks. Due to the dense arrangement, the number of such edges is counted in thousands. This is more than enough to fully compensate for the lack of studs. At the same time, the multidirectional arrangement of the lamellas provides additional reliability and stability to the traction properties on ice.
