One of the distinctive features of the Bridgestone B330 summer tire is its excellent adaptability to cold and wet asphalt surfaces. It was precisely the maximum characteristics on such surfaces that were given primary attention by Japanese tire makers when developing this model, which is reflected in a number of technical solutions. Additionally, it is impossible not to note the presence of a fairly wide size range, which provides the tire with excellent applicability to most modern small and medium-sized passenger cars.
Wide central rib
One of the distinctive features of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is the presence of a wide longitudinal rib in its center. The main functional purpose of this rib is to provide high levels of directional stability when driving at any speed.
Multiple separate blocks
As mentioned earlier, the Bridgestone B330 model is "tuned" for wet and cool road surfaces. This is unequivocally hinted at by the open design of the tread pattern, which consists, with the exception of the central rib, of multiple separate blocks, predominantly of a 4-angled shape.
During movement, each block forms a sufficient number of edges that come into contact with the road surface. Due to their different directions, the tire demonstrates stable and reliable coupling properties, regardless of the mode of movement and the characteristics of the road surface.
Excellent grip on wet roads
The aforementioned open design of the tread pattern made it possible to create an unusually dense drainage system with longitudinal and transverse grooves. To this, it is worth adding their large volume, ensured by both their width and the height of the tread. As a result, the drainage system easily copes with the removal of water when driving, even at high speeds.
It is also impossible not to mention the presence of many straight lamellas. During movement, they, like car windshield wipers, literally "swipe" water from the road surface, leaving the contact patch dry.
Main features of the Bridgestone B330 summer tire
- The symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is optimized for driving on wet roads;
- Special components of the rubber mixture maintain the elasticity of the tread at an optimal level, even at low temperatures of the road surface;
- Special recesses in the central longitudinal rib reduce the level of resonant noises and vibrations, providing a higher level of ride comfort;
- Excellent directional stability, thanks to the rigid central rib;
- Excellent performance of the drainage system, allowing the tire to demonstrate the maximum level of performance on wet asphalt;
- Short braking distance, thanks to the multiple tread blocks in the shoulder areas, which are arranged perpendicularly to the direction of movement.
