Description Bontyre BT-330 City
All-Season Truck Tire Bontyre BT-330 City is characterized by a fairly specific scope of application, which is partially indicated by its name. This model is designed for use on any axles of buses and other types of commercial vehicles operated in urban conditions. In addition, the tire in two out of six standard sizes (285/70 R19.5 and 275/70 R22.5) can be installed on any axles of trailers and semi-trailers. However, regardless of this, this model is a very successful and economical option, which in any case will provide a quiet and comfortable ride.
High level of comfort
Specialists of the domestic company equipped the Bontyre BT-330 City tires with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which is quite original. It consists of five longitudinal ribs, three of which, located in the central part, have a wavy shape. Due to this configuration, it was possible to minimize the risk of resonance noise and vibration, which significantly increased the comfort of the ride.
Excellent directional stability
All five longitudinal ribs, which make up the tread pattern, are characterized by high structural rigidity, and therefore resistance to dynamic deformation. This made it possible to significantly improve directional stability, as well as increase the responsiveness and accuracy of steering, i.e. the tire responds faster to steering wheel turns.
Excellent braking properties
Despite the absence of tread blocks, the tire has good braking efficiency, especially on slippery surfaces. This was achieved by equipping the longitudinal ribs with transverse wavy lamellas, which essentially divided them into separate blocks. As a result, the contact patch has a multitude of transverse edges, which provide excellent traction and adhesion characteristics on the road surface, even with a low coefficient of friction.
Main features of Bontyre BT-330 City
- a universal tread pattern in combination with an extensive size range provided the tire with a wide scope of application;
- the tire was specially designed for year-round operation on any axles of buses;
- excellent directional stability due to five rigid longitudinal ribs;
- excellent traction and adhesion properties on dry and wet roads are provided by a multitude of transverse lamellas, forming a large number of traction edges;
- low rolling resistance due to the minimal number of tread elements;
- the all-steel carcass significantly increased the tire's carrying capacity and ensured the possibility of tread restoration.
