Description Blacklion W507 Winter Tamer
The Blacklion W507 Winter Tamer winter tire is used in compact and mid-size passenger cars. It is offered in several dozen sizes with diameters ranging from 15 to 18 inches. It is adapted for operation in the most difficult winter conditions, featuring high stability on snow and ice, while offering a low noise level and a smooth ride.
The tread pattern is designed with a directional design and a symmetrical arrangement of elements. The key element is the longitudinal rib in the middle, formed from large arrow-shaped blocks. Each of these blocks has V-shaped lamellas, which, in addition to directional stability and maneuverability, improve traction when accelerating on slippery surfaces. Similar elements, but with a wavy shape, are contained in the other tread blocks. Being arranged transversely, they provide an extremely effective implementation of traction and reduce the braking distance. Traction on slippery surfaces can be further improved by installing studs. For this, the manufacturer has provided special holes. The protrusions around them, forming a "snowflake" pattern, provide faster removal of ice crumbs, further enhancing traction.
Main features of Blacklion W507 Winter Tamer
- the longitudinal rib in the middle of the blocks with V-shaped lamellas improves directional stability, maneuverability, and longitudinal traction on slippery surfaces;
- sinusoidal lamellas prevent skidding when accelerating and braking on wet asphalt and ice;
- curved longitudinal drainage grooves reduce the risk of aquaplaning and slashplanning, improve transverse traction on snow;
- the possibility of significantly increasing traction on ice by installing studs.
