All-season passenger tire Barnaul Forward Dynamic 205, produced by one of the leading domestic tire manufacturers, is produced in one size, 175/70R13. This size is the main one for VAZ-2101-2115 passenger cars. The tire is distinguished by an excellent price-quality ratio.
This model has a non-directional S-shaped tread pattern, which, like any modern low-cost tire, contains four longitudinal ribs, including two shoulder zones. All four ribs are separated from each other by three wide drainage grooves, which provide rapid removal of water and slush from the contact patch.
This ensures excellent resistance to aquaplaning, making movement in wet conditions more reliable and safe. The two longitudinal ribs located in the center of the tread have a large width, which, on the one hand, allowed for a larger contact area, and on the other hand, achieved excellent directional stability. In addition, the tread ribs of the Forward Dynamic 205 tire are divided into separate blocks by longitudinal and transverse grooves, the sharp edges of which effectively grip the slippery surface. At the same time, the longitudinal grooves of the central tread ribs have a zigzag shape, which helps to reduce resonance noise and vibrations. For the same purposes, all tread blocks are arranged with a variable step relative to each other.
The shoulder zones are divided into separate blocks by transverse drainage grooves. Through these grooves, effective and rapid removal of water from the contact patch is ensured. In addition, the separate blocks formed by these grooves have significantly improved the tire's passability on snow and other unstable surfaces.
Main features of the Forward Dynamic 205 tire
- Excellent operational characteristics on wet, snowy, and icy roads are provided by the optimized S-shaped tread pattern;
- Good fuel efficiency due to reduced rolling resistance;
- Low noise level is ensured by the uneven step of all tread elements;
- High efficiency of acceleration and braking due to the good stiffness of the longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread.
