Description Austone SP6
The Austone SP6 summer tire was specifically designed for modern passenger cars of the small and medium class, equipped with powerful engines. This model is advantageously distinguished by a combination of a high level of safety when driving at any speed with a very attractive cost and a long service life.
Innovative design of the central longitudinal rib
A significant part of the numerous advantages of the Austone SP6 model is provided by a number of design features of the symmetric non-directional tread pattern. First of all, this is the central longitudinal rib, which is distinguished by its massive size and the presence of a large number of diagonal lamellas on its surface. Such a design has provided this tread element with significant resistance to dynamic deformation. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates very accurate and fast reactions to the driver's actions. At the same time, the diagonal lamellas provide for the removal of water from the contact patch, directing it into the longitudinal drainage grooves, which, in turn, leads to an increase in the grip properties when driving on a wet road.
Reinforced shoulder areas
In contrast to the longitudinal ribs located in the central part, the shoulder areas occupy a much more significant part of the tread pattern. The massive size, combined with a block structure, provides increased stability when cornering, especially on a wet road, as well as very high braking efficiency. It is provided by the transverse edges formed by the blocks of the shoulder areas.
Main features of the Austone SP6 tire
- the tire was specifically created for powerful high-speed passenger cars;
- excellent applicability, ensured by a wide range of sizes, which includes several dozen sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 14 and 15 inches;
- a wide central rib with numerous diagonal lamellas improves handling and grip on a wet road;
- four longitudinal drainage grooves provide for the rapid removal of water from the contact patch;
- the reinforced design of the shoulder areas increases stability when cornering, and the presence of numerous blocks in this part of the tread provides a short braking distance;
- a five-rib design with blocks arranged at a different pitch relative to each other provides a low level of noise and vibration.
