The scope of application of the commercial tire Apollo Altrust+ includes light trucks and minivans. The tire provides minimization of fuel consumption, precise handling and effective protection against aquaplaning.
The tread pattern was created using computer modeling. This allowed significantly reducing the rolling resistance and lowering fuel consumption. Additionally, two central ribs with a solid surface and small lateral notches guarantee stable handling at any speed. The developed shoulder area with diagonal blocks contributes to improved maneuverability and eliminates vehicle tilting. To improve the braking process, the tread was made from a denser compound that reduces deformation.
Deep longitudinal channels along with transverse and diagonal notches effectively cut through the water film, preventing hydroplaning.
