Description America SF 934
The America SF 934 summer light tire, despite its relatively low cost, has quite worthy operational characteristics, as evidenced by the high speed indices assigned to it - H, V, and W. This model is designed exclusively for passenger cars. At the same time, the wide range of sizes, which includes several dozen types with a mounting diameter from 14 to 17 inches, provides excellent applicability.
Aggressive tread pattern
The tread pattern of the America SF934 tire features simple yet effective solutions. Partly for this reason, the manufacturer was able to keep its cost at a fairly acceptable level. The tread pattern is characterized by a clear division into separate functional zones, each of which provides a solution to strictly defined tasks.
In the very center of the tread, there is a rigid longitudinal rib, separated from the neighboring ribs by wide drainage grooves. This technical solution allowed the company's specialists to give the tire excellent directional stability not only when moving on dry but also on wet roads. In the latter case, the large size of the drainage grooves plays an important role, which can accommodate a fairly large volume of water. In addition, the presence of such a rigid element in the center of the tread led to an increase in the maneuverability of the tire.
Also, in the central part of the tread, there are two rows of individual blocks of a quadrangular shape. Their corners were specially rounded to reduce the level of resonant noises. Another feature of these tread elements is their placement at a significant angle relative to the direction of movement. Thanks to such a placement of the tread blocks, the tire demonstrates excellent acceleration efficiency, especially on wet surfaces.
Main features of America SF934
- The original V-shaped directed symmetrical tread pattern design provides the tire with excellent efficiency, especially on wet surfaces;
- The wide longitudinal rib running through the center of the tread provides the tire with refined handling and excellent directional stability throughout the speed range;
- Large contact patch sizes due to the massive size of the tread elements;
- Wide shoulder areas provide excellent stability when cornering;
- High braking efficiency due to the numerous transversely arranged blocks of the shoulder areas, forming a large number of engagement edges.
