The Trelleborg Twin Forestry T440 LS-2 tire is designed for forestry equipment operating in rough terrain and high soil moisture conditions. It is primarily used on forwarders and other equipment that work in a dual-wheel configuration when transporting heavy timber. This is a more universal solution focused on combining high passability, stability, and reduced impact on the soil.
Differences in the tread
The tread is made according to the LS-2 scheme and optimized specifically for paired installation. The tread blocks have a calibrated geometry and uniform distribution, forming a stable contact patch and providing confident traction on soft, wet, and mixed surfaces. The pattern is distinguished by a less aggressive block shape and a more balanced profile, which contributes to a smooth ride and reduced rolling resistance during transportation operations.
The design, despite its positioning, is designed to work under high loads characteristic of dual wheels. The reinforced carcass and sturdy sidewalls increase resistance to cuts and punctures when contacting stones, roots, and stumps. The tire has a reinforced structure and optimized load distribution, which increases the stability of the equipment and reduces the risk of deformations.
The compound is adapted to forest operating conditions. It retains elasticity at low temperatures, is resistant to abrasive wear, and provides stable characteristics during prolonged and intensive operation.
Key features of the Trelleborg Twin Forestry T440 LS-2:
- LS-2 tread designed for dual installation and operation on soft soils;
- a more balanced pattern compared to the T480 makes the tire more versatile in application;
- reinforced carcass and sidewall structure for protection against damage in the forest;
- wear-resistant rubber compound for long-term operation in harsh conditions.
