Model Speedways Gripking R-1 is created according to the classic, but constantly improved architecture, where every detail of the tread and carcass is subordinated to one goal — converting engine power into effective traction force. This is a universal tool for plowing, sowing, transportation, and any field operations.
Directed geometry
The tread pattern is designed according to a proven diagonal scheme with large lugs forming a recognizable "fir tree" shape. The inclined blocks have an increased support surface area and are positioned at an optimal angle to the direction of movement. This ensures gradual lug entry into the ground, reducing impact loads on the axle while simultaneously maximizing traction.
Massive lugs are made of high-strength rubber compound, specially adapted to harsh operating conditions. Their height and width are calculated to effectively capture the top layer of soil, preventing slipping even on plowed fields. At the same time, the shape of the blocks excludes "folding" under load.
Self-cleaning as a key factor of performance
Distance between neighbouring tread lugs is increased, and the bottom of the forming channels is made as smooth and shallow as possible. When the wheel rotates, soil particles easily break away and fly out of the inter-block space, without having time to compact.
Foundation of stability
The tyre's load-carrying structure is built on the principle of multi-layer reinforcement. At its core are high-strength cord layers, laid with maximum density. This solution pursues two goals:
- minimize deformation of the sidewall and tread area;
- prevent local tears and delamination.
The rigid carcass also helps to maintain the shape of the contact patch, which has a positive effect on the evenness of wear and, as a result, on the overall durability of the tyre.
